Our agent was recently informed by the authorities of Venice that a new city tax has become payable on reservations staying from 01. September 2013.

This applies at a different rate according to the type of accommodation.

All guests staying overnight in the region of Venice must pay this tax, from 01.09.2013.

Unused valid reservations are also subject to the tax.

It is the responsibility of the lodging industry to ensure that this tax is collected from all guests and passed to the city of Venice.
