Our last day in Venice. Our next destination is Florence. I feel aggrieved leaving because there is still much yet to be explored. But time does not permit. Perhaps another time, if I got the opportunity will be here much longer.
Today we'll continue our journey to Florence by fast train Trenitalia. Will depart at 1.30pm. After breakfast, we check-out (9am) and go to the Water Bus terminal at Rialto Bridge Line 2 to Santa Lucia Train Station.
Before boarding the Water Bus, make sure to scan your ticket by the machine reader (forgot the name, sorry) just outside the bus stop, near the ticketing counter.
This is why you have to travel light in Venice.

Train from Venice to Florence is Via Roma Termini. You can easily purchase the train ticket from ticketing machine or over the counter, but because I'm a first timer (novice) I bought everything in advance before departures.
Two and a half hours later, we arrive at Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence.
